IPL is a grand event as far as sports in India is concerned. Every time we see a grand opening ceremony with actors and a bevy actresses, of certain group only. India being a country of many diversities, it is disheartening to note the absence southern stars . Ignoring the stars from south India has been a bone of contension. This was evident by the rejection of the Badmashri award, offered to the ever green melody queen of all generations, Ms. Janaki. Besides, even the talanted children of India are ignored in sports events of this calibre. There are millions of children, and some of them we see in the realty TV shows of dance India dance, India too have Talents, Vija TV’s super singer, and Maanada Mailada and in various other program. it is also conspicuous that such events expose only a marginal side of India, which is always dominated by a small group rich and the vanity, a false picture of real India and a total hypocracy of India, Organizers in all thier opening ceremonies, never intended to offer opportunities to younger generation the much required exposture. it is sickening to watch the monotonus performers, with thier unvaried dance movements. We seem in films, we see them in streets and in all important events. Indian culture is dominated by vagaries of a small segment of a society, called the boliwood. If not for politics, boliwood, cricket and corruption, India will not be known for anything else. It is high time the organizers give a chance to the young generation, the aspirents, an opportunity to shine, that will bringin a new trend of hope and happines among the millions of young despondents.
